The Ruins of Darl-Amun Palace, on the outskirts of Kabul, Afghanistan.
I was able to access the ruins of the Darl-Amun (former King's) palace in Kabul though paying the guards $20 in "Baksheesh." The site had been badly damaged through the last 30 years of war, and had been closed off for "monitoring for preservation purposes."
